What is chirotherapy?
Chirotherapy (also called chiropractic) is a manual therapy that focuses on the relationship between the spine, the nervous system, and the joints. The therapist uses precise, controlled movements of the hands to gently realign vertebrae and joints that have shifted out of position — often the actual cause of back pain, sciatica, neck stiffness, and headaches that medication only masks.
The technique is non-invasive, drug-free, and most patients feel immediate relief — sometimes within the first session. Many describe it as 'the click that finally fixed it.'
Why is chirotherapy needed?
Modern lifestyles cause real physical harm — long hours sitting at a desk or on a phone, lifting heavy farm or construction loads, prolonged driving, sleeping on the wrong mattress. Over time, vertebrae and joints drift out of their correct position, pinching nerves and causing pain that no painkiller can permanently resolve. Chirotherapy is the right choice when:
- ✓Back pain or neck pain keeps returning despite painkillers
- ✓An MRI shows slipped disc, bulge, or sciatica
- ✓Surgery is being recommended but you'd like to try a non-invasive option first
- ✓Headaches feel 'stuck' in the upper neck/base of skull
- ✓Posture has worsened and movement feels restricted

What to expect during your session
- 1.Posture & spine assessment: the therapist checks alignment, range of motion, and identifies the misaligned segments.
- 2.Targeted adjustment: precise, gentle thrusts realign the affected vertebrae or joint. You may hear a soft 'click' — this is harmless gas release from the joint.
- 3.Soft-tissue release: tight muscles around the area are released to hold the new alignment.
- 4.Home plan: simple posture and stretch advice to keep the alignment stable between sessions.
Frequently asked questions
Is the cracking sound dangerous?
No. The sound is gas (mostly nitrogen) being released from the joint capsule when pressure changes. It's the same sound as cracking your knuckles — completely harmless when done by a trained therapist.
How many sessions will I need?
Acute back/neck pain: 3–5 sessions. Chronic conditions like sciatica or slipped disc: 8–12 sessions over 4–6 weeks. You'll have a clear plan after the first visit.
Can I avoid spine surgery with chirotherapy?
In many cases, yes. For mild-to-moderate slipped discs, chirotherapy combined with hijama and acupuncture has helped patients postpone or avoid surgery. We refer to a surgeon if needed — we never delay genuinely urgent cases.
Is it safe for elderly patients?
Yes. We use gentle 'low-force' techniques for elderly patients and those with osteoporosis. The treatment is adjusted to your body's needs.
